Bridalveil Fall, El Capitan, and Merced River, Yosemite National Park, California, 1995
This was one of the first 4x5 inch view camera photographs I made in Yosemite National Park. I wanted to give it a sense of motion so I deliberately blurred the water in both Bridalveil Fall and the Merced River. My film processing inexperience at the time caused me to ruin most of the negatives from this day, but this one turned out perfect, even if only by dumb luck. It's broad range of tones make it difficult to print, but that range of tones also imparts a magnetism to it. This photograph hangs prominently on a wall in my home.
This is a signed, numbered, limited edition archival pigment print available in four sizes. Each edition is limited to 25 prints per size. It is available without a mat, with a mat, or with a mat and frame. All photographs come with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the author and embossed with his seal.
We use professionally cut 8-ply window mats on a 4-ply base mat. Our sealed black wooden frames with UV filtering plexiglass display your photograph beautifully while protecting it from damage.
